Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. From 1977 until 1980 she was main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics pop duo. Following that Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva and it was released in 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in the month of November. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection comprised of four songs that were improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to the art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics.
